Dylan Parish will move to Warrnambool next month and is considering playing for either a Hampden or Warrnambool and District league team.
The former North Ballarat Rebel played in four senior flags with Wimmera league club Horsham during a decade of dominance — it’s won 11 of the past 12 flags — before spending the 2014 season at Horsham and District league outfit Laharum.
Parish, 23, is a key forward who kicked 117 goals for Horsham as a teenager in 2011, making him a prized commodity.
He slotted 48 goals in nine games for Laharum, which lost the grand final last month.
As many as eight Hampden and Warrnambool and District league clubs have spoken to Parish.
He will also consider remaining at Laharum.
“I haven’t made my mind up yet and probably won’t for a couple of weeks,” Parish said.
“I am moving down in November so I am looking forward to moving away and doing something different.
“You want to play your best footy you can while you can and enjoy football while you can.
“I am looking forward to moving down there and having an enjoyable year playing wherever I am.
“I haven’t thought too far ahead. I am thinking week-by-week at this stage.”
Parish, who was considered an AFL draft chance during his stint in the TAC Cup, played in his first senior premiership with Horsham in 2008.
The 191-centimetre forward then played in a hat-trick of flags in 2010, ’11 and ’12.
He kicked eight goals in the Demons’ 2012 grand final win against Warrack Eagles.
“I’d like to think I learnt a fair bit at Horsham,” Parish said.
“I was fortunate enough to be captain for a year there and I learnt a bit from the leadership group.
“And even at Laharum, I changed clubs for something different and a bit of fresh air.”
