A TRUCK driver located an abandoned stolen Honda CRV in Bessiebelle yesterday afternoon, which had been driven at speeds of 150km/h in a police pursuit.

Portland police Sergeant Wayne Nelson said the truckie heard about the search for the vehicle which was first published on The Standard website on Monday morning.
The truck driver reported at about 3pm that the missing car was in Bessiebelle.
Sergeant Nelson said the vehicle had been recovered and would be processes by police crime scene officers.
The Honda four-wheel-drive was stolen and involved in a pursuit with police from Portland to Port Fairy which started at 1.20am and reached speeds of 150km/h.
Officers reported there were two occupants in the car and they followed the vehicle to Port Fairy where they were met by a divisional van from Warrnambool.
The chase was terminated in Port Fairy due to the high speeds involved and danger to other road users.
Sergeant Nelson said police investigations were continuing and called on anyone with information to contact the Portland police station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
