Fawkner woman Madeline Luke was charged with two counts of intent to cause injury, two counts of unlawful assault and with using insulting words in a public place at an out-of-sessions hearing on Tuesday night.
Ms Luke, 31, allegedly grabbed a woman by the neck and hair last Thursday night, smashing her head against the wall of the train carriage, police said. She then allegedly pushed the victim off the train as it rolled into Batman Station in Coburg North.
The charges are also in relation to other attacks Ms Luke is alleged to have waged against other women earlier on Thursday.
She was remanded in custody and will appear in Melbourne Magistrates' Court on Wednesday morning.
