The longest sections will be pavement rehabilitation on the Great Ocean Road at Allansford and in the Otways between Hordern Vale and Yuulong, where culverts will also be upgraded as part of a $50 million renewal program funded by federal and state governments for the entire coastal route.
About six kilometres of the Woolsthorpe-Heywood Road at Broadwater, Bessiebelle, Warrong and Willatook will be widened and rehabilitated with more than $5m from the state while about 5.3 kilometres of the Timboon-Colac Road will be improved at Scotts Creek and Jancourt East with drainage, guard fencing and vegetation management costing about $3m.
A section of the Hopkins Highway at Purnim will receive about $1.8m in repairs while more than $1m in federal and state funds will be spent on upgrading two Terang intersections for heavy trucks.
Contract tenders for the work close next month.
