VicRoads has advised from Monday contractors will be trimming vegetation behind guard rails, mulching and cleaning debris from roads, excluding weekends.
Speed will be reduced during the works and traffic will be reduced to a single lane in each direction, in order to ensure the safety of both road workers and road users.
Motorists are encouraged to plan their journey and allow for extra travel time, as minor delays are expected.
VicRoads has reminded motorists to obey all roadwork signs and speed limits, and keep a safe distance from the vehicle in front.
Works are expected to be completed by mid-November 2014.
