Former Colac man Jayden Millard declared yesterday he will enter the race for Western Victoria at the November state election, the 13th candidate in the field so far.
Mr Millard said he would campaign on issues such as improved public transport, liberalisation of abortion and euthanasia laws and the decriminalisation of marijuana.
“The state government and opposition have made some moves towards medicinal marijuana but it makes sense to me to expand and speed up that process,” he said.
Mr Millard ran for the Sex Party at the 2013 federal election against Labor MP Darren Cheeseman and Liberal MP successor Sarah Henderson.
He secured roughly two per cent of the primary vote, placing fifth behind Ms Henderson, Mr Cheeseman, the Greens and Palmer United but in front of the Family First and National Party candidates.
