He’s already been to 88 performances of the Great Moscow Circus as far as Perth and Queensland and at the weekend in Warrnambool chalked up his 90th show in four years.
The Geelong pensioner will proudly wear a jacket bearing the title “number-one fan” which was presented to him for his 60th birthday in July.
Circus general manager Greg Hall said Mr Porter had become part of the family.
“Brian’s our mascot and number-one fan. We make sure we look after him,” Mr Hall said.
“Every time we do a tour he sees something different. He’s followed us as far as Perth, Adelaide and Sydney, seeing up to three (shows) a day.
“I reckon his attendances go to back to 2002, so he would have seen many more than 100.”
Mr Porter said his favourite part of the circus performance was the motorcycle daredevils
“I’m friends with all the performers,” he said. “There’s a suggestion they’ll let me into the performance area next year.”
After last Saturday night’s performance, he planned to treat himself to a taxi ride back to Geelong.
