League officials yesterday announced Port Fairy’s Gardens Oval as its second semi-final venue on Saturday and Victoria Park at Koroit as host for Sunday’s first semi-finals.
Reigning premier Warrnambool and 2013 runner-up Koroit will meet in the senior football second semi-final and Koroit and Hamilton Kangaroos are scheduled to clash in the A grade netball game.
North Warrnambool Eagles and Terang Mortlake will battle in the cut-throat football first semi-final, with North Warrnambool Eagles and Portland drawn in A grade netball. League president Hugh Worrall said Gardens Oval and Victoria Park were ideal venues for week two finals action.
“I think the weather will be on our side again,” he said.
“There is good grass (cover) on the Koroit ground and at this time of year Port Fairy is always in good condition.
“It’s a good atmosphere at Port Fairy.”
South Warrnambool’s Friendly Societies’ Park and Cobden Recreation Reserve hosted week one finals at the weekend.
Senior football starts at 2.10pm, with A grade netball from 1.15pm.
