AUSTRALIANS know the important role played by the nation’s soldiers but few know the variety of roles available for job seekers within the Australian Defence Force. The Australian Defence Force Careers Expo, to be held in Hobart on Friday, September 12 and Saturday 13, is set to change that.
The expo will provide the ideal platform for the people of Tasmania to explore the benefits of a career in the ADF.
There are more than 200 different careers available within the ADF, offering a career to suit most circumstance, interests, skill and education level.
There are many avenues of entry to start a career in the ADF. School leavers can choose from a career in the Navy, Army or Air Force where they can pursue tertiary studies at the Australian Defence Force Academy or apply for a Defence Sponsorship at their local university.
The ADF offers 30 different trades as well as non-technical roles. For job seekers with work experience or industry skills, specialist roles in the ADF offer a unique environment to further develop their career.
The Navy, Army and Air Force are now recruiting for a range of full-time and part-time positions that offer great pay, an active lifestyle, nationally recognised training and a whole lot of adventure.
The expo is an ideal opportunity for people to get their questions answered about the sorts of careers available within the ADF.
The Australian Defence Force Careers Expo will include career stands covering services and avenues of entry.
