St Pius Primary School’s Book Week parade yesterday attracted a colourful array of characters from children’s books as both pupils and staff swapped their usual schoolwear for more imaginative attire.
Even principal Peter McElgunn, pictured at back, got into the act, coming as the lead character from The Saddest King.
Perhaps the scariest was Jacob Dunne, 11, dressed as SkulDuggery Pleasant, with, left, Nissy Cashman, 8 (Cat Woman), Oscar Dowling, 7 (Silent Knight), Oscar Cooke, 8 (How To Train Your Dragon) Tayah Brown, 6 (Barbie in The Pink Shoes) and Ben Vertigan, 6 (The Cat In The Hat).
