A 24-year-old Cobden woman caught with a “super veteran” bowls pin stolen from the town’s bowls club has left court without a further penalty.

Magistrate Michael Coghlan yesterday told Kayla-Jade Ripohau, of Mitchell Street, that she already had enough to put up with in the next few months.
On Tuesday Ripohau was jailed for three months after twice being caught driving while suspended when she took three men to Melbourne with drugs and weapons in her car.
Yesterday, she reappeared in the Warrnambool Magistrates Court and pleaded guilty to possessing the proceeds of crime — a significant amount of coins and the bowls pin.
The Cobden Bowls Club was broken into overnight on May 24, when a safe was forced open and cash and the pin stolen.
The next morning police intercepted Ripohau driving erratically in Melbourne and found coins and the bowls pin in a shoe box in her car.
She was again pulled over later that day in Colac after crashing her car at Winchelsea — a fortnight after losing her licence for demerit points.
Her offending breached a previously suspended three-month jail sentence which was enforced on Tuesday. She was also fined $500.
Mr Coghlan yesterday convicted and discharged Ripohau on the additional offence.
She has started serving her three months’ imprisonment.
