A REPENTANT motorist drove to the Camperdown police station after hitting a pedestrian in the town’s main street yesterday.

Police said the 45-year-old male driver struck a male pedestrian, 49, in Little Manifold Street about 5.30pm.
Acting Sergeant Stephen Clissold said that after initially leaving the accident scene near Bucks Bakery, the driver went to the Camperdown police station and was interviewed and charged.
The pedestrian was taken to Warrnambool Base Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
