KOROIT export Dom Gleeson has called time on his decorated VFL career.
The Geelong skipper played his final game for the Cats’ second-tier side against Essendon at Kardinia Park on Friday night.
The Cats, who played in the past two VFL grand finals, missed out on a spot in the eight.
They finished ninth, two points adrift of Sandringham.
Gleeson, who started his VFL career at Werribee 10 seasons ago, played in Geelong’s 2012 premiership win over Port Melbourne.
The midfielder was also a member of the Cats’ 2013 losing grand final side, which went down to Box Hill Hawks.
Gleeson captained Victoria in 2013 in a one-off match against Western Australia.
