Warrnambool policeman Sergeant Dave McDonald said entry was forced into the SES building in Baynes Street, Terang, and the Holden Rodeo dual cab utility driven off.
He said nothing else, including computer equipment and other items of value in the SES building, was stolen.
“The duress alarm was activated in the vehicle at 4.15am and SES personnel found the vehicle was missing just after 5am.”
Sergeant McDonald said a delivery van driver saw the missing utility, undamaged and still with all its equipment, at Proudfoots in Warrnambool about 7.30am.
