The 1.1-kilometre endurance race around the town is on Saturday, October 4 with a range of chicanes, hills and a sprint down the Glenelg Highway.
Event chairman Trevor Sweeney said teams are encouraged to decorate their cars and raise sponsorship for their pedallers.
“We are hoping to see plenty of families come along to what has proven to be an excellent day of entertainment,” Mr Sweeney said.
“Not only is it a fun day out, it raises funds for local community groups. We certainly want to encourage new entries. I’m sure previous years’ entrants would agree that it’s a great way to spend a Saturday and all for worthwhile causes.”
The grand prix will have junior (under 13), senior (under 17) and open age categories.
The event is a fund-raiser for the Victoria Police Blue Ribbon Foundation, the Coleraine branch of Western District Health Service and the Coleraine Men’s Shed. For entry details and information on how to build a pedal car, visit www.pedalcargp.com.au
