The book fair returns to Port Fairy with the theme ‘Girt by Sea — A Weekend of Words and Wild Waves’.
Authors Susan Duncan, Fiona Duncan, Alan Frost and Regina Lane will be present at the weekend, with a focus on local and visiting writers.
A seafood dinner on the Saturday evening will be held at Charlie’s On East, with Duncan as guest speaker.
She will talk about her work in the publishing world, which included stints at The Australian Women’s Weekly and New Idea, and her fictional writing about the Briny Café.
The huge Ex Libris Book Sale will be held in the Drill Hall.
This year there will be eight booksellers selling antiquarian and collectable books plus some brand new books.
Also on sale will be a range of children’s books and novels.

There will also be books on natural history, flora and fauna, environmental conservation, ecology and Aboriginal history.
Books begin at $1 with all tastes and interests catered for.
