The aged-care provider, formerly known as Domain Principal Group, has been relaunched as Opal Aged Care.
Residents at Opal Warrnambool and Opal Gillin Park will benefit from the new partnership.
Warrnambool is ranked 46th for prevalence of those living with dementia, with an estimated 450 cases in 2013, according to Alzheimer’s Australia.
Through the initiative, the aged-care provider with the support of Alzheimer’s Australia will train more than 5500 staff in the provision of dementia care.
