A review of scheduling in next week’s agenda proposes that councillors formally meet for municipal meetings every month instead of the present three-week rotation.
If successful, the proposal would mean general meetings would be held on the first Monday of every month with councillor briefings on the second and fourth Mondays.
Ballarat City holds meetings fortnightly, Greater Bendigo every three weeks while Greater Shepparton, Wodonga and Mildura city councils hold meetings on a monthly rotation.
Councillors will also consider a planning amendment scheme and planning permit application for Midfield Meat’s proposed cold store and milk processing plant.
A petition from Kruger Street residents will be examined after 20 people signed a petition which raises concerns about traffic congestion, resident parking and pedestrian safety. A petition relating to Ryot Street parking between Koroit and Lava streets will also be under consideration.
