Warrnambool Swimming Club’s Ashleigh Pettigrew and Caitlyn Mackay and Hamilton Swimming Club’s Aaron Skinner shone at the two-day event on the weekend.
Mackay won silver in the 50m breaststroke and bronze in the 100m breaststroke and Pettigrew collected bronze medals in the 50m butterfly and 100m backstroke.
Pettigrew slashed seven seconds off her 100m backstroke personal best.
Skinner, who lives in Warrnambool, received bronze medals in the 100m and 50m backstroke races.
Skinner, 22, travels to Hamilton twice a week to train.
Warrnambool Swimming Club coach Jayson Lamb said he was pleased with Mackay’s and Pettigrew’s efforts.
“They performed really well. I was really happy with the times they texted me on the weekend,” he said.
“They usually do well at shortcourse.
“They both trained really well in the lead-up and they produced some good times.”
Warrnambool teenager Jason Pritchard competed in the open 50m breaststroke and 50m backstroke classes, recording personal bests in both.
