Port Campbell police Acting Sergeant Greg Skinner said there had been two more accidents in the days after a Korean tourist lost her life in a bus tragedy, including a motorcycle crash at Princetown late last week.
A woman in her 30s died after the tourist mini-bus plunged 20 metres down a ravine last Thursday.
Acting Sergeant Skinner said the bus and motorbike accidents happened within 700 metres of each other.
On Monday there was another single-vehicle accident along the popular tourist route at Gellibrand Lower, not far from the Moonlight Head Road.
He said a tourist student driver heading to the Twelve Apostles in a black Honda Civic lost control and hit a tree about 3pm. The vehicle had to be towed from the accident scene. The driver and passenger were not injured.
And about noon on Saturday there was a collision involving two four-wheel-drive vehicles along the Port Campbell-Timboon Road about six kilometres east of Timboon.
A vehicle turning right was involved in a crash with another four-wheel-drive heading east on a straight stretch of road in a 100km/h zone. There were no injuries.
The Toyota Hilux and Holden Colorado were both described as write-offs.
Acting Sergeant Skinner said it was fortunate there were no injuries in the two most recent accidents.
“Drivers need to be very wary and slow down. It’s the middle of winter. The driving conditions are hazardous and there are visitors to the area driving along the Great Ocean Road and in the area,” he said.
