AFTER a successful first event, The Company of Women is looking forward to its next social gathering tomorrow night.
Launched by Kirkstall’s Sarah Parkinson as a way for women to catch up and meet others, the initiative has gained a strong following.
Tomorrow women are encouraged to come together at Pippies by the Bay from 7pm.
Mrs Parkinson invited women to come along for company, socialisation, conversation and delicious finger food in the surrounds of Flagstaff Hill.
“Brave the wild winter weather and pop on something special for a nice night out with the girls,” she said.
The first event attracted more than 50 women, with monthly social events on the agenda for the group.
“It was a huge success,” Mrs Parkinson said.
“There was such a great mix of women there. Some were married and some not, some had children and some didn’t, some worked full-time, part-time or all of the time and there were friends, strangers and ladies of all ages.”
Tickets are $30 and includes finger food. They can be prepurchased from Pippies by the Bay or by calling 55612188, for catering purposes.
