A man has been shot in the leg at a home in Melbourne's west this morning.
Police were called to a home in Bayliss Road in Deer Park about 12.45am where they found a 29-year-old man with a gunshot wound.
Detectives from the armed crime taskforce are investigating, however they could not immediately provide further details about the circumstances of the shooting.
Paramedics treated the man at the home before taking him to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a stable condition. His injuries are not life-threatening.
It follows a separate, unrelated shooting in Melbourne's north yesterday morning.
Police said a 64-year-old Reservoir man was driving south along the Hume Highway at Craigieburn when his rear window shattered about 8.30am.
He pulled over and found a bullet hole in the shattered glass.
Police ballistics later confirmed that the damage was caused by a bullet, believed to have been fired from a grasslands reserve on the eastern side of the highway.
The driver was not injured in the shooting.
Anyone with information about either shooting has been urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or www.crimestoppers.com.au.
