WINTER seems to warm the wallets of property buyers in Warrnambool, with Real Estate Institute of Victoria figures showing a 12 per cent price rise between March and June during the past decade.

“That’s a sizeable growth when many Victorians are focusing more heavily on the fireplace than the property market,” REIV CEO Enzo Raimondo said.
“Agents report the selling season has extended beyond the always-busy autumn into the cooler months. Sellers are capitalising on their home’s winter appeal and agents are marketing properties to attract winter buyers.
“While some seaside real estate agencies used to report slower sales in winter, they now report the number of winter buyers increasing.”
