Port fees at the breakwater are tipped to bring in a $4000 profit — down on the current year’s $9000.
On the other side of the balance sheet, most other city council departments will operate at a net cost with parks and gardens topping the list at $3.186m, followed by waste management and street cleaning $2.9m, festivals and events $1.14m, city strategy and development $948,000, business support $775,000, library $749,000, aged services, art and culture $641,000, family services $497,000, environmental management $463,000, Flagstaff Hill Maritime Village $427,000, leisure centres $418,000, health services $366,000, recreation facilities and programs $307,000, statutory building services $175,000, Warrnambool airport $72,000 and community support services $51,000.
