A selfless act turned to tragedy on Friday night as two good Samaritans were killed trying to clear a tree from a road at Broadwater. 

The two Filipino men killed in the crash had arrived in Australia earlier this year and were working on a farm near Macarthur.

Warrnambool City Council expects to make $2.93 million from fines and fees over the next financial year.
