A police headquarters spokesman said yesterday that efforts would continue in search of clues to Mr Rodgers’ disappearance.
A family member posted a comment on The Standard’s website yesterday expressing gratitude for the many messages of support “in this hardest of times”.
Mr Rodgers, 65, was reported missing Wednesday night after failing to return from a fishing trip to waters near Lady Julia Percy Island.
His 10.7-metre vessel, the Mary S was found late Thursday drifting about 30 kilometres south of the island and towed back to its berth at Port Fairy wharf.
He is described as an experienced fisherman very familiar with ocean conditions.
