When Hollywood comes to town | The filming of Oddball

THE seven-week shoot for penguins-and-Maremmas family movie Oddball is coming to an end in a film studio in Melbourne, but much of the filming took place in Warrnambool.

For about four weeks, movie stars mingled with local extras, the film crew wrangled dogs and dealt with the topsy-turvy south-west weather, and Liebig Street and Flagstaff Hill took centre stage.

All this for a movie about a south-west chicken farmer called Swampy and his dogs.
