ABOUT 60 people attended a successful auction in Cudgee on Saturday, highlighting the growing interest in the small community.
A two-bedroom house located at 9 Trotters Lane on just over a hectare with five titles sold under the hammer for $230,000 after opening at $170,000.
Two bidders battled it out for the property, raising the price in $20,000 and $10,000 increments.
It was one of two auctions run by Ray White Real Estate on Saturday, with the other — a two-bedroom house at 88 Hyland Street — proving unsuccessful.
The house was passed in on a vendor’s bid of $200,000. The property will now go on the market, with the sellers looking at offers above $220,000.
