The focus of the plan is on areas not connected to reticulated sewage treatment systems, including Lismore, Derrinallum, Princetown and Noorat.
The domestic wastewater management plan aims to provide better information to landowners, particularly those wanting to build.
It assesses properties within the shire against eight key factors affecting domestic wastewater management. This allows landowners who want to build on their land to understand what may be required in order to install a wastewater system on their property.
Copies of the plan are available at the council offices in Camperdown, libraries across the shire and on the council website.
There will also be two community drop-in sessions in Lismore on June 18 at the Lismore Fire Station from 4pm-6pm and in Derrinallum on June 19 at Derrinallum Public Hall between 4pm and 6pm.
