About 40 people attended the auction of a three-bedroom cottage at 40 Lava Street, which opened on a vendor’s bid of $240,000.
The central property was passed in following a live bid of $245,000.
Negotiations are ongoing with a couple of interested parties, Northeast Stockdale & Leggo sales consultant Justin Allen said. In the meantime, the house will be listed for private sale at $279,000.
An auction at 18 Skiddaw Crescent was also unsuccessful, with about 20 people present, Peter Herbert of Homeseeka Real Estate said.
Two vendor’s bids of $320,000 and $340,000 were lodged before the three-bedroom home was passed in.
Mr Herbert said negotiations were ongoing with interested parties and a sale was anticipated in the next fortnight.
