Leishman, who started the final round one shot behind a group of leaders, posted a two-over 72, to finish in a tie for 21st, five shots behind Scott and American Jason Dufner. Scott won on the third hole of sudden death after a pin-point iron shot on the par-four 18th set up a birdie.
Leishman had three bogeys and a birdie in his final seven holes, derailing his chances of a second career victory on the tour.
