Scott wins as Leishman battles

WARRNAMBOOL'S Marc Leishman completed another solid week on the US PGA Tour as countryman Adam Scott won the Crowne Plaza Invitational in Fort Worth, Texas.

Leishman, who started the final round one shot behind a group of leaders, posted a two-over 72, to finish in a tie for 21st, five shots behind Scott and American Jason Dufner. Scott won on the third hole of sudden death after a pin-point iron shot on the par-four 18th set up a birdie.

Leishman had three bogeys and a birdie in his final seven holes, derailing his chances of a second career victory on the tour.
