Navarre Minerals this week announced further drill test results from its Western District project which targets 130 kilometres of the Miga Arc volcanic formation.
“Strong copper and gold drill results from one of three porphyry-related geophysical targets tested at Eclipse is the highlight,” managing director Geoff McDermott said.
“We believe we are a step closer to discovering the first major porphyry copper and gold deposit in Victoria.”
Eclipse, west of Ararat, is one of four targets identified by the company within its project area.
More exploratory testing is continuing with the aim of identifying sufficient reserves to justify potential mining operations.
