The 107 Gipps Street address next to the Moyne River bridge has been the subject of a community backlash after a developer made a bid to build a two-storey home this year.
About 100 locals protested at the site in January.
“The owner has made an appeal against the council decision,” Moyne Shire planning manager Michelle Grainger told The Standard.
No date has been set for the appeal hearing.
