The Good Friday game at Davidson Oval pits the Tigers against the reigning premier.

Ross said her side had a slow start to the season while it was trying to finalise teams, players and positions.

“We have been working around the changing team dynamics,” she said.

“There are positive signs. We are working towards getting wins on the board.”

The Tigers are striving for consistency in the round four match.

“We are looking forward to the challenge,” Ross said.

“We are not going in with a losing mentality. We have to put four quarters together to win a match.”

Old Collegians coach Lisa Arundell said the Warriors made a good start to the season, despite still making adjustments to their 2013 team. 

At the end of last season Genevieve McLeod, Rochelle Beer and Jessica Toleman left the club for study, work and  personal commitments.

Arundell said their departures left gaps in the team’s offence, defence and centre positions.

Madeleine McLeod and Rachel Alderson have stepped up from the junior ranks and past player Jodie Maybery returned to the club during the off-season. While adjustments are still being made, Arundell is happy with the team.

“We have three new players in and we are still in the process of finding the right balance,” she said.

“We have the right players to get the job done, its just a matter of finding the balance on the court.”

Arundell said the team was aiming to work like a well-oiled machine and tomorrow’s match should prove to be testing.

“Merrivale have recruited strongly in the off-season,” she said. 

“We’ll be looking at a tough match. When at full strength they (Merrivale) will be a powerful force.”
