A teenage pedestrian was last night flown to a Melbourne hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a truck on Colac’s main street.
A Colac police spokeswoman said the 16-year-old boy was crossing Murray Street at Memorial Square shortly before 6pm when he was struck by a semi-rigid cooler truck.
The boy was flown by air ambulance to The Alfred hospital.
The spokeswoman described his injuries as "fairly serious" but was unable to give further details of the accident.
Traffic on Murray Street was diverted until the accident scene was cleared.
