Get Out For Good has new trainees Catherine Sellens, Marilyn Woodward and Netta Hill who started training on Saturday in Warrnambool to add to the initial trio of Ruth Ward, Nola Foran and Sally Trigg who qualified earlier for the voluntary program run by Anglicare.
They will gain a feel for life on the inside when they visit Melbourne Assessment Centre soon on an education tour.
“We are looking for participants who have recently come out of prison or those who may have been out for a while, but are grappling with issues,” Warrnambool Anglicare co-ordinator Louise Serra told The Standard yesterday.
“There also are avenues for us to develop relationships with people via video conference while they are still in jail.
“Our group meets weekly for a coffee and conversation.
“Anyone wanting to contact us is invited to call me on 0458 750 351.”
