Offers after houses passed in

THREE south-west houses were passed in at less than $260,000 after being put up for  auction on Saturday, but offers were lodged afterwards.

Ludeman Real Estate agent Mark Dwyer said the auction of a four-bedroom house  at 205 Russell Street, Dennington, at 11am Saturday attracted about 30 people.

The 1006-metre-squared property was passed in on a vendor’s bid of $220,000.

“We are very confident of a sale. An offer has been made and negotiations are continuing,” he said.

James H Monk agent Davina Pickles is in a similar position with a property at 51 Scotts Street, Camperdown.

The Queen Anne Federation style house was passed in on a vendor’s bid of $250,000, but an offer was made after Saturday’s auction and talks are continuing.

A three-bedroom house at 4/144 High Street, Terang, was also passed in on a vendor’s bid of $230,000 and is on the market for $245,000.
