The dazzling display at Warrnambool’s Lake Pertobe was a huge success, club president Peter Dunn said.
“The fact we had support from other clubs as well, Mt Gambier and Ballarat — that was a feature of the day,” Mr Dunn said.
Gold coin donation on entry proved to be a successful fund-raiser for Peter’s Project.
“We haven’t done the final figures yet but we reckon it’s up around the $1000 mark,” Mr Dunn said.
“Last year we did gold coin donation for a barbecue and that didn’t do as well.”
Ninety cars showed up for the event including the Monte Carlo Rally FX sedan, celebrating its 60 anniversary.
“Also John Dodoro’s HQ Kingswood sedan was a highlight of the day,” Mr Dunn said.
