WEST  Warrnambool is set to resume day two of the division one Warrnambool and District Cricket grand final with a big lead over Dennington.

West skittled Dennington for 59 on Saturday and at stumps was 4-106, meaning the Panthers will try and put the game beyond doubt in the first hour this afternoon.

It followed a similar crash and bash Warrnambool division three grand final on Saturday where Woodford won.

The Eels bowled Merrivale out for 64 and then took just 13 overs to get the runs with 10 wickets in hand.

The division two game between West Warrnambool and Merrivale resumes this afternoon at Davidson Oval with the Panthers on track for victory. Merrivale was out for 98 and West was 2-23 at stumps.

Mortlake won the South West Cricket division one grand final after Pomborneit lost its final four wickets for 10 runs.

Favourite Yambuk needs quick wickets when the Grassmere Cricket Association grand final resumes today after it was humbled for just 91 yesterday.

Killarney is 1-42 at stumps, needing a further 51 runs for victory.
