No fires can be lit in the open from 12.01am Tuesday until midnight tomorrow.
The mercury is expected to climb to 28 degrees in Warrnambool tomorrow, while Hamilton is expected to reach 31 and Mortlake is expected to reach 32.
Winds are expected to be north to north-westerly, blowing between 25 to 40 kilometres per hour, before turning west to south-westerly in the early afternoon. Fire danger will be very high.
Wednesday will be cooler with a chance of early morning showers. Warrnambool is forecast to reach 19 degrees and Mortlake and Hamilton are both expecting 22.
