A 19-year-old woman suffered chest injuries in a single vehicle accident east of Mortlake on Thursday morning.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesman said the accident occurred on the Hamilton Highway near its intersection with Six Mile Lane about 9am.
The spokesman said the woman was the sole occupant of the car and her injuries might have been caused by her seat belt.
The woman was taken to Warrnambool Base Hospital in a stable condition.
Police were unavailable to provide details of how the accident occurred.
