Solicitors for the five youths, who cannot be named because they are aged under 18, appeared in a court yesterday.
A solicitor who represents three of the youths said he expected his clients would plead guilty to one charge of affray although he couldn’t guarantee it.
The youths have been charged with affray, recklessly causing injury and recklessly causing serious injury.
The solicitor said he understood that an adult who intervened in the deb party which got out of hand suffered a fractured cheekbone.
He said his clients were 15 and 16 years old when the incident occurred.
The court heard none of the youths had any prior convictions.
The magistrate said that it did not appear to be a complicated case if it could be sorted out.
The cases were adjourned for possible guilty pleas on March 6.
