Gallery goes roaring back to the '20s

CHAMPAGNE will flow as the Roaring ’20s are brought to life at a Peter’s Project fund-raiser on Friday night.

Warrnambool’s The Gallery nightclub will host the party which will incorporate all the glamour of The Great Gatsby.

Nightclub owner Susie Porter said vintage cars, a jazz band and cocktails from the period would help set the scene.

Nightclub manager Alister Porter has been researching old cocktails and partygoers can look forward to sampling Green Island Iced Teas and Manhattan Martinis.

There will also be entertainment from Tabasco Jazz and Melissa’s Dance Group.

Mrs Porter said the campaign for an integrated cancer centre in the south-west was something close to her heart. She said to have had treatment nearby when her husband had cancer would have made a world of difference.

“When I think about what we went through with Darryl. It also takes a person away from a business,” she said.

“We worked out his radiation took seven minutes which we went to Geelong for, which was huge for us as a family.”

Mrs Porter said the dress theme was Gatsby Party and she encouraged people to “jazz up” clothes they already had.

Tickets cost $120 per person, which also includes drinks and food by Wynton Events and Catering. They can be bought at the door or at 3YB, Studio G.A.S and Oranges and Lemons.
