The Eumungerie trialler later took out the open section of the seven-day event with Henry’s Storm.
Fellow New South Welshman Paul Elliott won both the improver and novice trials with Bredbo Spud and Me Mate Emmy respectively, while veteran Dubbo competitor Pip Hudson took out the Trans Tasman prize with MGH Opal.
Australian Dog of the Year went to Queenslander Geoff Gibson with Charlie’s Dusty.
