Tough day for Leishman

WARRNAMBOOL'S Marc Leishman has plenty of work to do after the opening round of the Phoenix Open in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Leishman opened with a one-over par 72 this morning in the $US 6.2 million event to be eight shots behind leaders, Korean Y.E Yang and American Bubba Watson. They both fired seven-under 64s.

Leishman started with consecutive bogeys and couldn't get his round into the red despite two late birdies.
