Pedestrian killed in crash near Colac

A PEDESTRIAN was killed this morning in a crash at Irrewarra, just east of Colac.

Emergency services were called to the Princes Highway, near the intersection with Collins Road, following reports a man had been hit by a west-bound vehicle about 12.30am.

The 30-year-old male pedestrian from Bell Post Hill died at the scene.

The female driver of the vehicle, a 24-year-old from Colac, suffered minor injuries in the crash and was taken to the Colac Hospital in a stable condition. 

The investigation remains ongoing as police prepare a report for the Coroner.
