Police have set up a crime scene around a house in Shepparton after a shot was fired into a parked car last night.
Forensic experts will examine the car today, which is believed to have been struck by a bullet at about 10.40pm.
No one was in the car, parked outside a house in Sutcliffe Street, at the time of the alleged shooting.
A police spokeswoman said investigators were not yet sure what has caused the incident. "They are attempting to establish whether it was accidental or (targeted)," she said.
