Most Warrnambool service stations sold basic fuel for $1.52 a litre yesterday, a three-cent rise on the average price on Christmas Eve.
Unleaded petrol was selling at between $1.39 and $1.43 a litre at most suburban Melbourne service stations, rising on average by five cents over the mid-week Christmas break.
The RACV fuel database records Hamilton’s average price at $1.56 a litre, Portland at $1.52, Colac at $1.57, Geelong at $1.50 and Ballarat at $1.55.
