Neil Crisp joined clubmate Kellie Bowles in the regional finals after a hard-fought win at Western District Bowls Division level on Sunday.
Crisp defeated City Memorial Red’s Kevin O’Keeffe in the WDBD men’s final at City Memorial Bowls Club, 25-21.
Bowles booked her regional spot last week, defeating City Memorial’s Colleen Haberfield in the WDBD women’s singles final.
Crisp was one of 44 entries for the men’s singles championships.
He defeated Wayne Hall 25-19 in his quarter-final and Tristan McArthur 25-5 in his semi-final, before accounting for O’Keeffe in the decider.
In other quarter-final results, O’Keeffe defeated Ian Quigley 25-7, Trevor Bolden edged out Allan Bell 25-23 and McArthur was too good for Bill Square 25-16.
O’Keeffe defeated Bolden 25-23 in the other semi-final battle.
The West Coast Region men’s and women’s singles are on January 26 in Heywood.
