A YOUNG man received facial injuries after an unprovoked assault in Warrnambool over the weekend.

Police are seeking witnesses to the incident, which happened about 3am on Sunday in Cramer Street, near City Memorial Bowls Club.
Senior Constable Kim Wheeler, of Warrnambool police, said the young man was walking home from the pubs when he was set upon by three youths.
The attackers, two males aged about 18 and a female aged about 16, assaulted the man for no apparent reason before running off when cars drove past.
The two males were wearing grey hoodies, jeans and skate shoes, while the girl was wearing a brown jacket and black leggings.
